URBAN DESIGN OF A HOUSING ESTATE AT THE ISLAND
SITUATION: Sokolský ostrov, České Budějovice
CHALLENGE:
Uninhabited Sokolský Island in the centre of České Budějovice. On the island is a swimming stadium and a Sokol gym building. The rest is an unmaintained park area.
TASK:
To develop a planning scheme for predominantly residential buildings Sokolský Island leaving the swimming stadium and gym in their original functions. To deal with transport issues, especially parking.
